How to Text or Call Riders

Sometimes you need to text message or give riders a call. The carGO app is set up for you to do so once a ride connection is made: just tap the “Text Message” or “Phone” icon on the right side of the home screen while in route to pick up a rider.

Riders do not see your actual number. We use a third party service to mask phone numbers through the carGO app, so riders don't see your personal number, and you don't see theirs.

Phone calls aren't going through to my riders.

  1. If you're having issues, check to see if you have caller ID blocked on your phone. Caller ID needs to be turned on for you to be able to reach riders through the app.
  2. If you've checked caller ID and are still unable to make calls, send us a message at support@gocargo.io. We'll be happy to get it sorted out.

Some wireless networks like Sprint don't allow your smartphone to multi-task — you can't use an app while also being on the phone. You can still call your riders, but the app will be closed while doing so (but no ride data will be lost). Make sure to reopen it once you're off the call.
