Getting Started

Thanks for your interest in joining the carGO community! Our goal is to help connect local individuals in micropolitan areas to provide reliable, convenient, and cost-effective transportation.

  1. carGO is a technology platform specially designed to connect drivers and riders in communities in micropolitan areas.
  2. In the carGO service region, riders use the app to request a ride. The request is accepted by the nearest driver who will use their own vehicle to give you a ride. The app provides a realtime map showing your driver’s progress toward your location and the estimated time for their arrival.
  3. Your app also provides information about the driver including her or his name, personal photo, vehicle type and photo, and license plate number. The driver also receives your information - name and photo. And you will both be able to text or call each other with the touch of a button. This information helps the two of you connect at your pick up location.
  4. After the carGO driver picks you up they will use the destination address you entered in the app when requesting the ride, to get you where you need to go.
  5. When you arrive at your destination and exit the vehicle, your ride ends. Your fare is automatically calculated and added to a tip if you choose, and charged to the payment method you provided in your carGO account.
  6. After the ride ends the app will ask you to rate the driver on a scale of 1 to 5 stars and provide feedback on the service you received. Drivers also rate riders and provide comments. carGO’s dual rating system fosters accountability and respect for everyone.

carGO currently connects drivers and riders along the I-55 corridor in southeast Missouri from Perryville to Sikeston, including the operational headquarters in Cape Girardeau.

We hope to expand to other similar micropolitan areas in the near future.

In the carGO service region, you can request a ride anytime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If no drivers are available for the car type you desire at the time of your request, the app will indicate the only option is to schedule rides for a later time.
